Today’s Word of the Day Haiku: Contact

Today’s “Word of the Day” challenge features “Contact”. I stared at the blank screen for few moments before I was able to start pulling this one together. One of yesterday’s photos came to mind. On my evening walk yesterday, I was watching the bees flit about these flowers. When this lady buzzed right into the flower in front of me, I was delighted to catch the moment.

Today’s Word Of The Day Challenge Haiku

Taking part in the Word of the Day challenge, where today’s word is “Opinion”. It seems fitting as spring flowers are starting to wane to talk about the falling blossoms.

A Haiku Response To The Word Of The Day Challenge: King

I’ve decided to take part in today’s “Word Of The Day Challenge“, and the word is “King“. I, being me, opt for a haiku.

Tonight’s Walk: A Haiku

I took this photo on my walk this evening. As it’s still spring with flowers blooming like mad, that’s been my current focus, photography-wise. The haiku just felt right.

I’m looking forward to branching out further afield as the corona virus restrictions abate. I’m looking forward to getting back to downtown Edmonds, I do miss it so.

What are youlooking forward to add life returns to some semblance of normal, or a new normal.

Politics, The Death Star, And The Place Of Memes

Saw this thread today:

My mind immediately pictured the scene in A New Hope where Obi-Wan senses the destruction of Alderaan. Doesn’t seem like a positive message about a candidate to me. Anyway, I whipped out this meme in response.

A little cheesy and amateurish, but thought “what the hell”. I might regret it as there possibly will be an explosion of crankiness. Or maybe not. Might be one person who likes it and it fades into oblivion. In the end, I thought this silly little meme sums up my feelings succinctly.

May the Force be with you All.

The Mantis & The Murder Hornet: A Haiku

With the rather overly dramatically named “Murder Hornet” now making it’s way to the Pacific Northwest, it’s important to note that in case you thought this critter was the most bad-ass insect out there, no, no it’s not. Here’s a reminder that there is always something badder coming down the road.
