As Autumn Approaches: A Haiku

hands held in the night

comforting in the darkness

as autumn approachesa

A little haiku i wrote a few months back. I thought it reflects a key part of what love is. Especially the kind of love that lasts for decades.

Acorns: A Poem Before Bed

acorns

echoes of the universe

upon my palm
Good night, every one! May you all find rest and restoration this night

A Haiku Near A Bookstore

within this metal
this writer’s soul delighted
festive tinsel’s song

A Cloudy Night Haiku

clouds dancing eastwards
souls uncovering new dreams
wind chimes whispering

Memories of Summertime

ghosts of flowers
memories of summertime
echoes of love songs

A December Walk

Walking in the cold
Wind biting through the sunlight
The finch’s motion

A Christmas Day Haiku

such a lovely day

walking in cold sunlight

December’s blessings

My wife and I went for am afternoon walk with my wife down in Edmonds, my favorite little town. A fine way to spend an afternoon, methinks.

I hope your holiday filled you with happiness and joy.

An evening walk

Walking in the night
Silently through this suburb
Alone with winter
