Under the cold sun
The welcomed sunlight warms me
Amidst bitter cold
As they reach downwards
Gravity’s and cold’s teamwork
Strange tranquility

As we’re preparing
For Seattle’s next snowstorm
We embrace humor

I just read “Fake followers are hard to shake” over at AdAge. Yeah, buying followers is tempting. Sure, it might look good on the surface, to have hundreds or thousands of followers. I’ve had many, many people ask me about buying followers. I think is a waste of money.
I expect that, in the not too far distant future, the various algorithms will easily detect copious numbers of fake followers. And I expect that will hurt you, whether via SEO hits from Google or Bing, or social media feeds devaluing your content. I firmly believe this is coming soon.
So, don’t opt for the lazy and fast. Build your brand slowly, carefully and organically. Engage other folks, post good content, and be your unique self.

Seattle’s first significant snow event this winter has disrupted our lives solidly. I miss the days i could walk to work, even in the snow. The roads have been quite treacherous. So, I’ve avoided them. Today, though, I really need to make my way into the office. It’ll be fun ,I’m sure.

I look at the night
Upon freshly fallen snow
I’m struck by the grace
It’s a beautiful, snowy night here in Seattle. It feels wonderful, though I dread tomorrow’s commute.

Seeing art supplies
Miracles of color call
Memories of joy
I love this old house
The echoes of elegance
Rang into the night

This house had been part of my life for years. Recently, it’s owners have worked hard to recapture its glory. They’ve done a nice job, in my opinion.
