A Haiku On Design: The Poetry Of White Space

Kerning crafts beauty

The poetry of white space

Ink and paper play

Tonight’s haiku: Spring is slowly coming to an end

Spring’s blossoms wither

White petals falling with grace

A summer snowfall

Respect and Dignity: A Haiku

We are unable

To summon basic respect

For views not our own

As long as we, as a culture, or as a species, struggle to summon basic respect and dignity for each other, we will fail.

A reflection on Avengers Infinity War

Thanos’ power
Can what’s been done be undone?
So much for my mind

So many questions after Infinity War, round 1. I’m left reeling a bit. Let’s puzzle through this, shall we?

More reflections over the next little bit.

Moving Forward

Easy to look back

Yet that sucks our energy

That we need to grow

The Perils Of Writing

This writer’s journey
Fraught with perils of the heart
Facing down my fear

As I write, my mind drags out random, destructive talk. The act of posting challenges sensations of inadequacy. Thus I post, refusing to let the destructive voices within me win.

Saturday Morning Mid-May

Light flows across my blinds

Bird dialog strikes my ears

My room’s emptiness

Speaks to my past

And my future

My afternoon walk

An afternoon walk
Journeying through the quiet
With only my mind

A Haiku As I Listen To Music This Evening

Such tranquil music
Carrying my soul skyward
Glorious nighttime

May you might be restful and you awake rejuvenated.
