Freedom’s Conundrum

Freedom’s conundrum

By being unlimited

Discipline saves us

A Sunday Night Meditation

Life moves at this blur
Days blend together quickly
Cherish these moments

It’s hard at times to keep all this mental motion together. I blink and my son’s taller, the other children around become adults. And I age. Gracefully, I’m sure. But with certainty.

Tonight, As Sleep Approaches

Sleep approaches me
The darkness cocooning me
Rain gently falling

A busy day concluded. Time with dear friends exploring one of Seattle’s great landmarks. Now, though, it’s time to sleep.

I hope your day was rewarding, that it was all you’d hoped it would be.

Good night, dear ones, good night!

My Neighbors Walking

A little boy skips
His hand in his mother’s hand
Beauty as light fades

Glaring Back At Fear

I find it hard at times
As fears creep forth
Snaring my heart
Corrupting my dreams
Distorting logic
Contorting my focus
Into destruction
I don’t understand it’s allure
And why it captivates me
But I shall refuse it’s temptation
And uphold my dreams

Time to wake

Night is now ending
Though the sun has yet to show
Silence is breaking

Though early, it’s time to wake. Life’s demands, well, are demanding. There always something to do, a challenge to meet, life to live.

A Black History Month Haiku

Black History Month
We forget the dead, white guys
Just for this month

Seeking out ways to incorporate the these into my daily readings and writing. Are you doing anything creative?

A Good Night Haiku

Tonight’s Good Night Haiku

As the night moves on
And my wakefulness ending
Slumber’s beauty calls

Good night, my internet friends

A Haiku Where I Contemplate A Cyberpunk Future

Slow integration
As we become a hive mind
Will we lose ourselves?

Happy Wednesday everyone!
