A Spring Haiku

a riot of blossoms

celebration of new life

soon fluttering down

I walk by this tree regularly. It’s been daily during the lockdown. Spring is fully on. The blossoms lovely, temporary. Perhaps that’s part of their; their impermanence. So very Zen of me, I guess.

Everyone else is asleep in my house. I’m very fond of these quiet moments. I hope all of you are safe and healthy.

A Spring Afternoon

sunlight flows downwards
fir trees grasping towards the clouds
a gentle spring breeze

Sidewalk in Black & White

my movement is life
concrete underneath my feet
sunlight through the clouds

Shot the photo while on a walk near home, then edited in Instagram. Original is color, but black and white just felt right.
