The sun has set

Sun set a while ago

A Wretchedly Wet Day

This wretchedly wet day

Dankest dreariness

Spring’s misery

Exceeding the expectations

Of even Eeyor

An Afternoon In Seattle

In the afternoon

A warm cup of tea helps me

Make it through the gloom

The danger of fear

Fear is dangerous

Pulling us into dark rage

And compassion lost

Saturday Evening

Sunlight’s going strong

Though the day is closing out

Still time to go bikev

A Seattle Morning

High clouds greet the morn

Birds call, seemingly calmer

More subdued, perhaps

Sound absorbed by clouds

Gray skies soothe me, though

Relieved of garish sunlight

Reflecting on change

Reflecting on change

How economics push us

Some times, push us down

Overheard: Email

“I don’t do email.”

How does one function this way?

Resisting progress?

An Oregon Memory

Today I’m remembering

Dreamy winters night’s

Near the coast of Oregon

A steady rain falling

Drinking coffee with friends

Jazz plays from a small radio

Voices of friends faded

Some returned to dust

This time so many ago

Many rains have washed away

The memory dusty not gone

Libraries

Betwix books & sunbeams

Motes of dust glide like stars

Drifting amongst dreams

And the dreamers who dream
