Signs of Summer: this evening’s haiku

Still signs of summer
And the sunlight is quite warm
I saw geese flocking

The Everett Farmers Market: Today’s Haiku

Under the sunlight
Farmers display their wares
Clouds splicing the sky

I love farmers markets. Two are nearby: Edmonds (Saturdays) and Everett (Sundays). If we miss one, we have the other. It’s a lovely setup.

Satie is playing: a haiku

Satie is playing
Songs that make me think of spring
The joy of flowers

A bit of a haiku at the end of a busy day. I hope your day was filled with joy and satisfaction.

A #Haiku Regarding This Rainy #Seattle Morning

In this morning’s rain
I remember these flowers
From yesterday’s sun

It’s time to rise and shine, I suppose. It’s easy to resist wakefulness, isn’t it? I messed my back up, which makes my motivation to wake that much weaker.

I hope your Monday goes well, and that you’re moving forward towards your goals.

A Sunday morning haiku

As dawn climbs the sky

How do i better myself?

Birds sing their answer

It’s a challenge for me to focus on the future, to create a vision. It’s much easier to live in this moment. But it leaves gaps in my psyche I try to fill. This is perpetual for me.

An early evening haiku

With darkness falling

The sun shining from down low

Easily through trees

Homewards: tonight’s haiku

As we move homewards
Across the San Juan Islands
Summer’s Joy’s awake
