Exploring Home

I seek out beauty
The glories of Washington
My ancestors speak

These children grow tall

Look at these children
So tall, kind and wonderful
I’m filled with rich pride

Look at these children
So tall, kind and wonderful
I’m filled with rich pride

A first thought this early morn

A gentle breeze blows

Branches scrape against my house

This brusque goose-like cry

Startles me abruptly

Simplicity: The Beauty of Haiku

Life is so complex
The beauty within haiku
Ah! Simplicity!

A Good Night Haiku

This evening creeps past
My body is now weary
Listening to the wind

I’m fighting some beastly bug. Tis time to let sleep have a go at it.

Compassion

There is no such thing
As too much compassion
Sunlight calls to me
