Cruelty is easy
Creating beauty? Hard work
This is my focus
In the morning gloom
Daylight still fighting the clouds
The flowers don’t care
These weird connections
Resurrection and rabbits?
And eggs with tie-dye?
May you find blessedness this day.
This audio dance
As I sit this Saturday
My ears rejoicing
Trees bursting with blooms
Blossom petals slowly fall
Seasons still changing
There’s so much beauty

While dawn approaches
Waiting for this fitful night
To finally end
Ugliness rises
And I must choose rage or peace
I seek out beauty
