A Tuesday Haiku

Humanity’s child

Born of electrons’ motion

Will flowers be loved?

Discussing Artificial Intelligence with a friend I wonder if AI will be our contribution to the universe. If Fermi’s Paradox will be overcome by humanity in spite of our drive towards insanity.

I wonder…

Morning Haiku: June 13, 2020

nearly summer

I don my sweater

raindrops on leaves

A Haiku At Night

Darkness’ delight

Another night’s gracefulness

Dreams drip from streetlights

The streetlight flickers, the night offers grace, offers sanctuary. !

Morning Meditation: A Life You’re Proud Of

Do the best you can

Live a life you are proud of

And have no regrets

I woke with this idea, a strong voice in my head. This is how to live a life with no regrets. Always do the best work you can. Always seek actions that you are proud of. Then you’ll have nothing to be ashamed of.

A Haiku for the moon & stars

moon and stars hidden

the motion of clouds sublime

shimmering stillness

June 6, 2020: Morning Haiku

freshest morning light

brightening the clouds at dawn

puddles of songbirds

Watching dawn move on a cloudy morning, light comes through the clouds slowly, gently. The firs brighten, birds wake, yet humanity’s quiet.

The world still convulses, desperate for justice. A new day, an opportunity for change, for hope, for peace.

June 5, Haiku : Trampled Trust

empty, hollow words

unable to find healing

trust that’s been trampled
