A Spring Haiku

a riot of blossoms

celebration of new life

soon fluttering down

I walk by this tree regularly. It’s been daily during the lockdown. Spring is fully on. The blossoms lovely, temporary. Perhaps that’s part of their; their impermanence. So very Zen of me, I guess.

Early Morning Haiku

silence outside

daylight still waking

the quiet of poems

A Rainy Saturday Evening Haiku

daises in the rain
water dripping from my hat
the wind’s memory

Saturday Morning Haiku

wind chimes

early morning darkness

birds sing to my tea

Everyone else is asleep in my house. I’m very fond of these quiet moments. I hope all of you are safe and healthy.

A Spring Afternoon

sunlight flows downwards
fir trees grasping towards the clouds
a gentle spring breeze

Sidewalk in Black & White

my movement is life
concrete underneath my feet
sunlight through the clouds

Shot the photo while on a walk near home, then edited in Instagram. Original is color, but black and white just felt right.

Views from today’s walk

Met him on our coronavirus walk. Note we’re socially distant.

suburban walking
humor in this time of fear
crows laughing boldly

Nights Sacred Darkness

in this night’s darkness

within the sacred silence

seek peace together

The Blue Sky Beckons

the blue sky beckons
one blossom reaches the sky
gravity ignored
