A Worn RV

Weathered and worn RV in my local shopping center parking lot

so many miles
weathered and worn by life
a cold biting wind

A Rainy Day Haiku

rain induced darkness

overhead clouds bring dampness

winter’s grip still hurts

Monday Morning Meditation

Mondays are a gift

Beginnings: great potential

How will you use it?

Winter’s Skies

winter’s skies return
sun obscured by dark rain clouds
spring’s grace is quite near

Walking: Tonight’s Haiku

Winter’s sunlight falls
Boldly matching across sand
Kingfisher glides past

A haiku over tea

Some afternoon tea

Combined with a tasty lunch

Spring’s not quite here yet

Enjoying a lite bite at Edmonds’ Red Twig. A lovely cafe with tasty food, lovely coffee and a good selection of teas, it’s a favorite stop for many of our neighbors.

A Leap Day Haiku

I expect this might be better classified as senryu, but I’ll let others decide.

Today’s Haiku: February 28, 2020

sparrow’s motion
light, agile upon sunbeams
mountains snore
