An evening haiku : May 27, 2020

the sun through the trees
lovely warmth upon my skin
while junkos fly past

My evening walks have been a key element of my sanity during these trying times. The weather’s been lovely, so this walk has been truly wonderful.

A Haiku Response To The Word of the Day Challenge

My contribution to today’s Word of the Day Challenge: Sand. I, being me, opt for a haiku.

memories of sand
I love the smell of the beach
the winds from the west

A Sea Of Bits

in this sea of bits

the face of God floating by

through digital mists

A haiku from this evening’s walk

below the sunset

and the glorious red sky

soon the songbirds sleep

Moving through my neighborhood, a suburb of Seattle, as the sun does as it must. Gravity’s handiwork across this sky. Rain started to fall as I neared home.

A Monday Morning Haiku

Sunlight pushing in
sunlight pushing in
another day comes to life

my eyes resisting

Today’s Haiku : May 2, 2020

walking this evening
getting to see such beauty
life in quarantine

Tonight’s Haiku, May 1, 2020

sunlight has faded I’m facing infinity a star through the clouds

gazing at the moon

I touch the lake; ripples form

across the night’s sky
