The Everett Farmers Market: Today’s Haiku

Under the sunlight
Farmers display their wares
Clouds splicing the sky

I love farmers markets. Two are nearby: Edmonds (Saturdays) and Everett (Sundays). If we miss one, we have the other. It’s a lovely setup.

A scene from today’s walk

Walking through the rain
WIth summer’s end approaching
This crafted flower

Though it cooler than the past few days, it felt plenty warm to me. Greater Seattle’s mugginess felt fine to me.

A Monday Morning Haiku

Walking this morning
Sunlight leading me onwards
Summer’s grace fading

Japanese Gultch: A PNW Haiku

Journey through these woods
Sunlight dripping from the leaves
Fleeting summer’s days

Hiked in Mukilteo’s Japanese Gultch. Its been a while. This lovely park is a great way to spend am afternoon.

A Haiku At Dawn

I watch the sun rise

As I’ve done so many times

Ah! So much beauty.

Tonight’s haiku:

Along the sidewalk
My steps echoing loudly
Now the night has win

Today’s haiku, August 19, 2019

Capturing sunlight

Feeding it back to our soul

Watching an osprey

An early evening haiku

With darkness falling

The sun shining from down low

Easily through trees

Homewards: tonight’s haiku

As we move homewards
Across the San Juan Islands
Summer’s Joy’s awake

Hiking Lopez Island’s Iceberg Point

Within this forest
Passing all this Spanish moss
A cool summer’s day
