Love this autumn day
Which has crested into night
Now rest, finally
In the smoke
I see beauty within
Destruction
The Seattle area has been suffering with unhealthy accounts of smoke. First from California, then from British Columbia.
At dawn and dusk the sun has been this bold orange/red. Stunningly beautiful, juxtaposed against the monumental destruction weight by those fires.
There’s so much despair
We can fail to see beauty
The colors of dawn
Gazing upon this
Such a cultural symbol

With the snow falling
Red leaves in dusk’s light
Intense autumnal beauty
Descending to night
Beautiful sound
Rain rattling gutters
The parched earth healing
A symphony’s bliss
Artists rising towards a cause
Interdependence
Keys dancing boldly
The Romance of Ravel sings
Transition to rest
Listening to a glorious piano play as I prepare for sleep feels perfect.
