Dancing Upon The Spring Breeze

songbirds_birding_basics

Upon the spring breeze
Birds dancing gracefully skyward
The sunlit swallow

Hummingbirds, Life, Death

I watch a hummingbird

<

p style=”font-family:"”>And wonder about time

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Are we only allowed

<

p style=”font-family:"”>A specific number

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Of heartbeats?

Seeing the Birds of Spring

Compassion and grace
Linked together as they loop
Spring’s birds appearing

The Great Blue Heron

This gangly bird
Inelegant legs, bearing
Ghost upon the marsh

Awakened by Birdsong

This sky is still dark

<

p style=”font-family:’Helvetica Neue’, Arial, sans, sans-serif;”>The air erupting with sound

<

p style=”font-family:’Helvetica Neue’, Arial, sans, sans-serif;”>Blessed by these birds

Birdsong Early Morn

In the dark pre-Dawn

All the birds now come to life

Nature’s opulence

We are free

And now we are free

Embrace it with great reverence

Birds flit between trees

A view from my commute

Within the hard rain

<

p style=”font-family:’Helvetica Neue’, Arial, sans, sans-serif;”>Atop steel tree; watching

<

p style=”font-family:’Helvetica Neue’, Arial, sans, sans-serif;”>A hawk sits, hungry

Monday Morning

A call to rise up

A flicker striking my roof

A moment of spring

Bronze Lions

While I was driving

Upon a  bronze lion: birds

Strange absurdities
