Walking at night: a haiku

Tonight’s haiku
walking through the cold
feeling the grace of the night
soon the rains return

It was a good night for a walk. Brisk air was mitigated by my jacket. My main challenge: being near invisible to the passing cars. But most of my walk was far off the main roads. Thus, my key sensation was tranquility.

Behind the brick facade

Brick Facade

wandering my streets
behind the brick facade
the future awaits

Weariness, a meditation

Fence in black and white

step by step
I move through
weariness

Forgotten Forests

Decayed Stump

against the darkness
memories of trees echoing
forgotten forests

Mists flowing the trees

mists flowing through trees

moisture upon the petals

dreaming of the sun

On the Edge of Night

Street at dusk

on the edge of night
I’m walking beneath the wind
a gentle rain falls

Walking in the night
Street lights serenading me
Foot steps upon dreams

Tonight’s #NaPoWriMo #Haiku

I sit upon wheels

this motion through the daylight

robins cheer me on

Tonight’s Contribution To #NaPoWriMo2020

moving through darkness
still hints of dusk through the trees
birds dreaming of dawn

Sidewalk in Black & White

my movement is life
concrete underneath my feet
sunlight through the clouds

Shot the photo while on a walk near home, then edited in Instagram. Original is color, but black and white just felt right.
