Children’s Laughter

This sound
Laughing children
Always a delightful way
To awaken

The big lives of small children

Awakened by

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Voices of early risers

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Small children

<

p style=”font-family:"”>With big voices

<

p style=”font-family:"”>So much

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Personality

<

p style=”font-family:"”>They occupy

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Far more space

<

A Child’s Funeral

Nothing is sadder
Than a child’s funeral
Winter’s emptiness

It’s been several months since we buried my friend’s son. It was a wretched, painful day. I never want to feel that way again. Sadly, the odds are against me.

This Monday

Summer’s heat is here

Children nearly done with school

Silent, save for crows

At the beach

A girl at the beach
Carrying a water bucket
Flicking water from
Her fingers
A baptism

Focus On Gratitude

I’m grateful for these:

Joyous children around me

Love’s capacity
