Tonight’s Haiku: Remembering You

On the edge of dreams
I can see your eyes, briefly
Sadly, time’s mists win

My Weary Mind

My mind is weary

I find it hard to focus

Nighttime is calling

This Morning’s Haiku: The Predawn Darkness

Dawn has not yet broke

Though the eastern sky brightens

This new winter’s day

Dawn’s light shining west

As it crests the eastern hills day

Feeling winter’s chill

I love dawn. I always feel deep potential. The possibilities feel endless.

A haiku at the end of a busy day

A busy day ends
I find it hard to focus
This winter evening

A haiku at the end of this busy day. Family after church, this period where birthdays intersect with major holidays.

A Windy Night Calms

Now in night’s darkness

The air has become silent

Peacefulness reclaimed

It’s now calm as the wrong storm has passed through Seattle. Hope all you Seattle area folks got through relatively unscathed. Sure seems a bit of a mess right now.

Facing fear, putting it in its place

Fears can speak loudly

<

p style=”font-family:"”>We must learn to not let them

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Paralyze our will

In this night’s quiet
Siren’s call carries quite far
Winter’s night prayer

Sound carries far on the cold, late autumn night.

Tonight’s Haiku: The Movement Of Seasons

My dreams keep moving

In an arc around the sky

Autumn’s now winter
