An Evening Haiku

the evening sunlight
drifting behind western trees
cherry blossoms fall

A friend of mine asked me why I hadn’t written, or posted, any haiku lately. My answer is pretty lame. She said she missed them, so I offer up this one.

Autumn Leaves

Autumn Leaves

reddened leaves dance graceful
in the morning mist

It’s been a busy week. I started fall quarter and ended up with a stomach bug. Those two items sucked up the majority of my time. I’ll have more updates shortly.

I hope everyone of you is well and that you’re feeling refreshed and re-energized.

Today’s Haiku: Bursts of Color

bursts of color reach my eye
underneath the leaves

Saw these on my walk yesterday. They were striking, standing out solidly in the mass of green.

I finished up Summer quarter on my journey to finish my ATA in Web Development. I will write some about that soon. Six quarters complete and three quarters left. Now, what to do afterwards? So much opportunity, so many choices, thus, so many things to say “no” to. That’s my pain.

A Word Challenge Haiku: Insidious

I’m very fond of “Word Challenges”. Today I’m taking on Fandango’s One Word Challenge, and the word is “insidious“.

these insidious flowers
destructively grow

I saw this lovely flower in my garden today. This photo charms me. A simple thing, taken with my Samsung S9 with Instagram’s XPro filter.
