A Wednesday Evening

Wednesday evening haiku

Father and child

Gazing upon Christmas lights

Embracing wonder

Porchlight Haiku

The light has faded
I see my breath by porch light
The song of raindrops

A cool, drearily rainy end to the day. Chilled into discomfort, but not pain, only the mildest of inconveniences. But December approaches quickly, even though we still have trees with leaves on them.

An Evening Haiku

through the evening rain

beyond the coming darkness

sun in the future

Waking at Night

only in the night
within it’s gift of darkness
can we see starlight

A Night Haiku

I embrace the night

rain flows from forgotten roofs

safe inside my coat

Another experiment with Adobe Spark.

A good night haiku

daylight fading

street lamps blink on

birds now silent

I delight in the night. Flickering streetlights are their own poems, no?

Untitled

Walking in the night
Street lights serenading me
Foot steps upon dreams

Wednesday Haiku

eastern sky’s darkness

awaiting the morning light

suburban silence

Late Night Haiku

p style=”font-family:"font-size:16px;”>I woke in the middle of the night and wrote this. Seemed rather perfect when I read it this morning. Still, I’d rather sleep through the night right now.

Comfort from the Dark

As I move through dusk

The cool darkness comforts me

From the past’s echos
