Summer heat has been running strong this week. Today was a respite. 20 degrees cooler than yesterday with a gentle rain. A nice bit of relief.
I took this photo just outside of my office this morning. It seemed perfect. I enjoyed the moment, at least.
I hope your day went well. I know life’s pretty miserable for this of you on the East Coast. May the smoke clear quickly for you all.

A poetic meditation from this morning. I’m up earlier than I’d planned, with a racing mind. Seeking to make world practical and free of risks. A boring life that would be methinks.
reaching for the sky
to feed upon the sunlight
soon the petals fall
tell me what it is
that brings joy into your life?
fill your days with that
May your day fill you with delight and joy.

So a duck walks into a pharmacy and says “Give me some chap-stick… and put it on my bill”
This one just quacked me up, though some might be upset at the fowl language.
