Today

We walked into the cafe

An older couple entered

Through my held door
Hand in hand

Talking to friends

Amidst the youth

And their frantic keystrokes

Lost to the now
Rain’s changing

Drippy drizzle

To wind blown torrent

And the light moving

Across the sky
Puddles forming upon

Untended tables

Rain upon the skylight

Inside these blank walls
Rain falls upon the skylight
I stare at a screen

Memories of Rain

As I’m sitting here,

Awake foolishly early

Rain gently strikes

The ground, roof, windows,

Flowing through fir

For me, a soothing sound

Reaching deep

To my forgotten recesses

Memories of the

Heart

Rainfall’s Sound

The sound of rainfall

Seattle’s Wind Storm

The wind is singing

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Fiercely calling in the dark

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Beast untameable

<

A Rainy Seattle Morning

Hear morning rain

A haiku for a rainy night

Sunsets come before sunrises

Rain’s ferocity
Pummelling my garden
Peaceful sensation
