A Haiku for a Winter’s Night

Strength of winter’s touch

This Winter’s Night

This night’s song calming

<

p style=”font-family:"font-size:21.6px;”>A tranquil winter’s night

<

p style=”font-family:"font-size:21.6px;”>For I am indoors

Calm breathing of God

Change is upon us

Darkness hints at cold
Wintertime’s whispered approach
Dew drops now frozen

Summer thunder

Thunder ripples down
Drifting upon summer air
Dark clouds move eastward

Nearly Spring Haiku

Winter’s jagged edge
Painful anguish reaching out
Gently fails towards spring.

Winter’s Caress

Winter’s icy breath
Haunts my dreams.
Awoke, strange chill
Lingering upon my cheek
Arms, sheets, caressing
Silently, presence insisting
Upon awareness.

Seasons

Winter claws forwards
Gentleness of Autumn gone
Sharp teeth are now bared

Halloween

Frightful beasts wander
Unfettered upon the earth
Freed by a sunrise.
