This morning’s #haiku: awaiting dawn

awaiting dawn

light’s grace upon the dark clouds

rain’s song to the trees

Dawn may come earlier, but it’s still dark before I leave for work, still dark on many drive home. This, at times, challenges many mood. I work to stay cognizant of my minds health.

A Christmas Day Haiku

such a lovely day

walking in cold sunlight

December’s blessings

My wife and I went for am afternoon walk with my wife down in Edmonds, my favorite little town. A fine way to spend an afternoon, methinks.

I hope your holiday filled you with happiness and joy.

Winter Arrives

the rain clouds lighten

greedy puddles expanded

wintertime arrives

The first day of winter arrives, dawn finally brightens Seattle’s clouds. Today follows a day of record rain and related aggregations.

With the passing of the solstice, I await the longer days and the promise of spring.

Walking in Edmonds, A Haiku

rain held back
clouds hide the sun
a rose glowing

A Walk On A Moonlit Night Haiku

moonlight through the clouds
the wind’s grace bringing it forth
dreams await me soon

A Seattle Haiku, About Rain

raindrops define me
their mumbled movement downwards
the earth’s gratitude

Bellingham Moments, December 7, 2019

grey skies fill my eyes

raindrops linger in my dream

coffee’s beauty reins

A Sunday morning haiku

tapping my rooftop

light comes through the cloudy grey

healing for my soul

A haiku from this evening’s walk

trees not quite bare
murky fragrance delights
cool air calms

A view from my evening walk. I opted, from my choices for exercise, to walk. I needed to clear the buzzing from my mind. Which always feels worthwhile.
