Thinking about evenings, flowers, and just being done

The day’s heat fading
Sun obscured by these fir trees
Tasks finally done

This evening is done. Didn’t get everything done I wanted to, but I never do. Such is the way of things for me I guess.

A Seattle Saturday Morning

The rain returned

A counterpoint provided

Against sunny warmth

Keeping us humble

And the moss healthy

Tonight: A Haiku

Sitting in the dark

Reflecting upon this day

Springtime and pollen

Sunset at Meadowdale park

Tonight’s Haiku: Rain Gently Falls

This good day now ends

Accomplishing many things

Rain’s gently falling

Today’s Daily Prompt: Frigid

Being from Seattle

What’s frigid to me is just

Cool for so many

To live where my grandparents lived

I live amongst ghosts
My grandparent’s memories
Amidst these very trees

I walk the same streets my grandparents did. It fills me with connection to this place. Time become more fluid.

This Seattle Night, A Haiku

Rainfall’s insistence

Tapping upon my rooftop

This Seattle night

This Day Begins: A Haiku

Sunlight’s holding back
Eastern mountains soon will glow
As this day begins

KEXP, Pearl Jam and Seattle Culture

I have a great fondness for Seattle’s KEXP and the band Pearl Jam. And this story by John Richards reinforces that further. The community that’s formed around both the band and the radio station are filled with decent, caring, compassionate, wonderful people. It’s a key part of what makes Seattle a great place to live.

A Friday Night In The Suburbs

Birds break the silence
No cares for propriety
Suburbia’s charms

I hope your Friday night we lovely. Tis now time for slumber to dominate.
