Daffodils: Tonight’s Haiku

the daffodils’ gaze
dancing on the near-spring breeze
while the jays chatter

A Daylight Savings Time Haiku

sunlight to the east

springtime deceiving our clocks

the air, cold and dry

Another step closer to spring.

New Opportunities

life’s changes
new opportunities
cherry blossoms

I saw these blooms at Edmonds Community College today. I am moving forward with my career transition plan. My current position ends Friday, and I’ve grown weary of being let go all the time. So I’m going to study Web Design and Development. This excites me deeply.

Forward, always moving forward.

Cherry Blossoms

ah, cherry blossoms!
hints that spring is almost here
bold chattering birds

A Walk In Edmonds

Through the threat of rain

Buffeted by winter’s wind

Hints that’s spring’s coming

A Suburban Haiku

Sun hidden by clouds
Walking in suburbia
Riotous birdsong

Tonight’s Haiku: February 14, 2020

so much I recall

sunlight streams in through windows

chatter of songbirds

Memories of joy, of sadness, all flow at random moments. When my mind floats free I rediscover history, these elements within, forgotten but not lost.

A June Afternoon Haiku

Summer approaches

Spring time’s flowers are fading

The air is warmer

Springtime Memories: A Haiku

The morning rain fell
Pulling the petals downwards
Springtime memories

A Spring Haiku

I glance to the sky

Momentarily pausing

Flowers on this breeze
