Spring berries, a haiku

glorious red drops
resting against the blue sky
sunlight after rain

Today’s Haiku, April 2. 2024

My rhododendron
a burst of sunlight
feeding the new spring flowers
a break in the rain

Tonight’s Haiku,  March 14, 2024

as I face the west
sunset’s grace on the mountains
the air turns colder

I took this photo on my walk this evening along Edmonds’ Marina Beach. Is one of my favorite places,  period. Some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen are looking out at the Olympic Mountains of Washington.

Oh,  and happy Pi Day, for those who celebrate.

Today’s Haiku, March 2, 2024

the dance of sunlight
through the rain and falling snow
winter’s grip remains

I took this photo on my walk this afternoon. One filed with rain and snow, abs a stop for coffee.

Tonight’s Haiku

crocuses arise
finding their way upwards
after the show melts

Sunday Flower

Rose bud along the waterfront

slowly opening
sunlight hidden by the clouds
such gentle motion

This morning’s haiku

crows calling
through the morning mists
petals gently fall

Sunlit Flowers

Flowers in sunlight

reaching for the sky
to feed upon the sunlight
soon the petals fall

The Joy Of Bees

the joy of the bees
as the breeze stirs the petals
and the sunlight faded

Spring Sunlight

under spring sunlight

bees moving between petals

gentle ocean breeze
