Today’s Dad Joke

Two satellites decided to get married. The wedding wasn’t much, but the reception was incredible.

Ah, fun, fun, fun! It was a lovely day here just north of Seattle. The morning was cool and cloudy. By early afternoon, it was clear and sunny. I hope your day was good.

The Blessings Of Night

the blessings of night
dusk's orange skies gently fade
ah, tranquility!

A morning haiku

flittering of bees
dancing upon the petals
a choir of birdsong

I’ve not had my morning tea yet. Time to change that, methinks.

I hope your Friday is inspiring and productive.

Song of Sunlight

admist the flowers
dancing upon the petals
the song of sunlight

Sunday Morning Haiku

under this spring sun
graceful dance of the spring breeze
as the daylight fades

An Evening Haiku

the evening sunlight
drifting behind western trees
cherry blossoms fall

A friend of mine asked me why I hadn’t written, or posted, any haiku lately. My answer is pretty lame. She said she missed them, so I offer up this one.

Dandelions Windchimes

with the wind waiting

gentle sun upon wind chimes

breeze awakes slowly

High Clouds In Motion

high cloud’s in motion
graceful against the blue sky
the best of feelings

An evening walk

Iris

walking through my town
spring’s glories slip past my eyes
flowers start to fade

Sunlight and Roses

Rose
Rose

the grace of sunlight
pulling the rose towards the sky
joy of hummingbirds
