dawn hidden by clouds

songbirds boldly chattering

gentle summer’s breeze

A morning after a restless night. Coffee far too late, perhaps. My ears attuned to the night, hearing so very much, sleep came with difficulty to late to be useful. Once I woke, the morning calmness and quietude spoke to me.

Walking In Suburbia

Angled Daylight
The angled daylight, Dances amongst the trees, A gentle breeze blows

A haiku reflection on this evening’s walk. Very delightful journey through this suburb I call home.

Suburban Sounds

I sit here typing

A buzz drifting through the air

Blades of grass shortened

Steel and Plastic Motion

Engine’s rumbling

Masses of plastic and steel

Suburbia lives

A Meditation From Suburban Bohemia

image

Sitting here in suburban Bohemia
Trendy music echos in rafters
My elders march through
Past darkened storefronts
Embracing the silence of the zone.

Sheltered from the sky
Whether dry, cold or kind
Like now, clouds filter sunlight
The air chilled, night’s influence
Lingering like the memory of dreams.

At the edge I wait as
Automotive druids perform
Arcane rites, resurrecting
A weary shell of steel and plastic
Coffee’s tang upon my tongue
