Tonight’s Haiku

sunlight descending
brightening western mountains
quiet witnesses

Tonight’s Haiku

wonders of daylight
as slowly the sun descends
and spring now begins

I took this photo on my evening walk along the waterfront in Edmonds. Sunsets over the Olympics are some of my favorites.

Sunset Haiku

summer sunsets
gently across the mountains
gracefully cooling air

Today’s Haiku Challenge: Waves

sunset through the waves
sunlight sparkles upon the surf
fading into night

On Twitter, er, X, the user @Bleu_Owl posts a daily prompt “Haiku Challenge”. Today’s prompt is “wave”. The above is my contribution. I hope you enjoy it!

FWOC: Maximum

A blogger I follow, WoollyMuses, posted his contribution to Fandango’s One Word Challenge: Maximum. So, I thought I’d add to that.

Manzanita Sunset
the grace of daylight
sunlight moves across the sky
onwards to the west

The photo above is one I took in Manzanita, Oregon a few days ago. Shot with my Samsung S22.

day drifting to memory
the birds still singing

Tonight’s Haiku : As The Daylight Dims

The Edmonds Waterfront

as the daylight dims

water pushing against sand

air becoming cool

Sunset Haiku

sun grasping downwards
flowing through the mountain tops
remembering trees

On the Edge of Night: A Haiku

Sunset in Edmonds

on the edge of night
evening breeze cooling the air
kingfisher calling

Gazing to the west

To the west
gazing to the west
with the sun descending low
as the air's cooling

Looking to the west as I walk through this park. Sunlight drifts through the trees. Summer in the north bringing a steep angle to the light. Richly beautiful. To me, at least.
