A few lines before dawn

Dawn’s not yet here

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Yet i need to be awake

<

p style=”font-family:"”>Weariness slows me

<

p style=”font-family:"”>More than i care to admit

A long day done

Though not inspired

Only feeling weariness

Force myself to write

Another Day Ends

Another day ends
Dark blue sky fading to black
Rest’s demands winning

It’s been a king, busy day. Sleep’s call is winning with me. Time to wrap up the day and go up sleep.

A Day Of Distractions

This day’s distractions
So now I seek clarity;
Facets of my life

Days like this make me weary. Most of my plans failed to launch. Yet I got stuff done. So, there’s that.

A Goodnight Haiku

Eyelids drooping down
My weariness at day’s end
Preparing for bed

West of invective

At times I weary

All this invective burning

I’m charred and hollow

A Morning Meditation

Forcing wakefulness
I resist vigorously
Weariness grinds
I pull my dust together

And rise

Numb

Facing life’s cruelty
Weary of watching them crushed
Energy vanished

Insomnia Sucks

Frustrations flowing

Exhausted, yet cannot sleep

Insomnia sucks

Slumber’s Unanswered Call

A strange night,
Again awake when I wish to be asleep.
Slumber ignores my humble call
Blindly ignoring both my needs and concerns.

This lack of weariness annoys.
This rationale mind knows,
Knows the exhaustion coming.
Tomorrow’s sunrise.

Dread stares into my eyes,
Unblinking.
