Our Delight In Cruelty

A Haiku against cruelty

Such savage cruelty

That we delight so much in

A brutal winter

In this age we distain grace and compassion, claiming it weak.

A Rainy Night: Tonight’s Haiku

Outside it is dark

Tapping sound from my drain spout

Water flowing down

An Energizing Haiku For Monday

Autumn’s Gracefulness

Leaves upon the grass

Trees releasing the summer

Autumn’s gracefulness

I delight in autumn. The leaves with vibrant colors, cool, crisp air. For new, it’s deeply beautiful.

A Lovely Autumn Morning

The trees change colors. Air cools. Autumn arrived, the season evolves. My sweaters, which delight me so, call to me. Content wells within me.

Yet Another Phishing Scheme

Got this gem in my inbox this afternoon:

Did a quick Google and found a bunch of references to this as a phishing scheme. The poor grammar and funky URL tipped me off.

Always be diligent, my friends.

There are times I hate waking up

Dawn’s aggressive touch

Forcing me up from my sleep

Unwelcome, awake

Exploring Downtown Seattle

My home was once there
The outward shape is still there
And yet, it’s transformed

Walking these old streets
Visions of dirty concrete
Echoes of our past

Grime and poverty
Once marked these streets with their truth
Now airbrushed away

Walking with dear friends
Explorations of this past
Amongst my future

A Saturday morning haiku

Dawn has now long passed

Life’s demands now driving me

And, thus, I’m rising

Awaken, my friends, and seize this day

Tonight I’m Thankful

Sharing thankfulness

So many blessings this night

Filled with gratitude
