Spam is showing me
Feeling intense loneliness
Easy to deceive
Fears grapple with me
Anxiety is brutal
Logic corrupted
I sit with my tea
The well kept garden beckons
Grasses at perfect angles
Rain gently falling
The night pushing forwards fast
My weary mind droops

In the afternoon
A warm cup of tea helps me
Make it through the gloom
Fear is dangerous
Pulling us into dark rage
And compassion lost
“I don’t do email.”
How does one function this way?
Resisting progress?
Grateful for two things:
Surrounded by my dear friends
The warmth of sunlight
As the mind quiets
The sound of nothing roaring
Emptiness fills me
Walking past the stalls
Early morning at Pike Place
Tourists were absent
