Time Lurching

as time seems to lurch between speed and stagnation flowers move forward

Doorways

the passage of time
sun and rain changing so much
yet beauty remains

I found this door on a recent trip to Port Townsend, WA. The marvelous character of this worn door spoke to me. All things age. Where do we find our grace?

A pre-dawn haiku

Pre-dawn

Tranquil silence ~

My pen and I

I love early mornings, before anyone else is awake.

Haiku, August 30, 2020

breathe in, fill my lungs

then exhaling, life’s motion

night freeing my soul

Just trying to focus my breathing, calling my mind and soul, seeking tranquility and rest.

Sunlight Leaks Through The Trees

I created this with an app called InstaQuote, which in not sure exists anymore. This is in my aging Kindle, which I need to resume soon.

This was a response to a haiku prompt: leaks. Thinking of the way sunlight makes its way though the trees to the east. I’m fond of that morning light.

Autumn Approaches

Woke to wind chimes’ song

Gentle motion of the air

Harbinger of fall

I love the sound of my wind chimes. Today, the pre-dawn morning air cool. Autumn approaches! September just days away, which I delight in. Though I need to trade my shorts and sandals for pants and sweaters, I find that fair.
