Daily Haiku : Walking in Sunlight

walking in sunlight
feeling the autumnal breeze
flower’s willpower

A Mushroom Haiku

Mushroom Haiku
rising from the earth
filled with the fragrance of soil
hidden from sunlight

Found this mushroom on one of my walks last week. Edited the photo as well as created the design in Adobe Spark. Font: Lora.

Today’s Word of the Day Challenge: Sails

wind across water
sails powering boats motion
graceful in sunlight

This poem is my contribution to today’s Word of the Day challenge.

An Autumn Haiku

a new day begins
underneath my feet I hear
freshly fallen leaves

Laden By Rain

now laden by rain
bowed by gravity’s demands
longing for sunlight

Saw this flower on one of my recent walks. The rain had it bowed over. This haiku came forth.

A Sunflower In Autumn

as the sunlight wanes
the sunflower sings boldly
a gentle wind blows

Monday night haiku

in the autumn rain

petals holding reflections

ghosts of the summer

An Autumn Rose

in the autumn rain
petals holding reflections
ghosts of the summer

Monday Morning

Night progresses

Into morning

Streetlight flickers off

‘Tis Monday. You ready for the week? It’s a grey day here in Seattle, hence the grey poem.

I hope that gives you everything you need with grace and dignity.

The Day’s Rain

now walking at night

the day’s rain has faded

such grace in silence
