Stars

I stand under stars

Heavenly motion births change

Memories of love

Possibilities Abound: Today’s Haiku

a new day begins

possibilities abound

the pre-dawn silence

January 8, 2019: Haiku

Seattle’s rain falls
grey skies with shades of rich blue
perhaps we’ll see snow

Haiku, January 8, 2020

barren branches move

wind, graceful power’s song

I still hear your voice

Memories of Summertime

ghosts of flowers
memories of summertime
echoes of love songs

An evening walk

Walking in the night
Silently through this suburb
Alone with winter

Winter Arrives

the rain clouds lighten

greedy puddles expanded

wintertime arrives

The first day of winter arrives, dawn finally brightens Seattle’s clouds. Today follows a day of record rain and related aggregations.

With the passing of the solstice, I await the longer days and the promise of spring.

A Haiku For A Rainy Night

this hard, cold rain
flowers in December
a street light flickers

A haiku from tonight’s walk

brief moments of light
damaging the perfect dark
winter’s nearly here
