Autumn

A autumn haiku

autumn progresses
but the trees are not yet bare
this briskly cold morn

I took this photo while out on my walk yesterday. My fondness for autumn soothes me in these angry times.

Photo by me, created in Adobe Spark.

Ensnaring The Light

a moment in time
amazing autumn moment
ensnared by the light

My contribution to today’s Word of the Day challenge.

A PNW Morning

sunrise climbing clouds
fires of life stretching westward
my dreams still speaking

Created with Adobe Spark.

A Blustery Day

sprinting clouds move past
trees bow, respecting the wind
leaves racing downwards

My Haiku Contribution to the Fandango Word of the Day Challenge

Hope

This poem is my contribution to the Fandango Word of the Day Challenge, “outcome”.

in this time of rage
I seek an outcome of hope
living gracefully

Wednesday Morning

dawn moves through the clouds
hope ripples through the puddles
tea’s steam awakens

A Seattle autumn morning, rainy and cool. Strange senses of home.

Wednesday morning Haiku

dawn moves through the clouds
hope ripples through the puddles
tea’s steam awakens

I love rainy Seattle mornings. Even in these insane times.

An Evening Haiku

through the evening rain

beyond the coming darkness

sun in the future

Waking at Night

only in the night
within it’s gift of darkness
can we see starlight

Autumn Leaves At Sunset

night sings quietly
leaves continuing to fall
wind chimes at sunset
