Wednesday Morning Haiku

time’s motion

irresistible

spring

Two days until my job ends and I begin the next chapter of my life. Mixes sadness and excitement into a strange cocktail.

Forward

What’s my path forward?

Unpredictable, of course

My inner voice knows

The right way.

Now, to silence the noise

And listen to the birds

At dawn

A few lines before dawn

Dawn’s not yet here

Train Tracks In The Wood

Away through the woods

I wonder about these tracks

Are they neglected?

A Cycling Haiku

I move with the wind
Upon these steel wheels
Over asphalt night

I was able to ride this evening. Something I delight to do, though time has been challenging of late. The feeling of drifting over the road has long brought me tranquility and peace. A critical peace of my sanity while, as a young teen, I watched my mother consumed with cancer. Motion soothed my tortured soul.
