Today’s Haiku: A Heavy Rain

ferocious rain falls
battering leaves and flowers
days fade into night

nature's graceful force
always pushing us forwards
through autumnal rains

Ah, a lovely, rainy near-autumn morning here in Seattle. Autumn is my favorite season, so this fills me with happiness. And I expect my brown lawn is rejoicing with the rain.

I created this with Canva. The image is not mine, but a complementary one in Canva. Motion in text is something I am exploring deeper. Yeah, this isn’t that terribly challenging, but I’m all for small steps.

Monday morning haiku

dawn upon the clouds
hints of red within the leaves
gentle morning mists

A haiku response to today’s Word of the Day Challenge

Today’s word is “overdue”. Not a very poetic word, is it?

a day with light rain
giving overdue relief
birds gracing my day

A Dark Sky Haiku

Dark Sky
under sunlight's edge
gazing upwards at the clouds
I have everything

After the Rain

After the Rain
between the rain squalls
I get to walk in the sun
flowers cheer me on

A Break In The Rain

Bee In A Flower
Bee In An Orange Flower

a break in the rain
bees insist on gathering
glorious nectar

This bee was energetic little lady was hard to capture, as she kept bouncing from flower to flower. I am rather proud of this humble shot with my Samsung S9.

Moving Through Sunlight

Spring Flower
moving through sunlight
petals glistening from rain
crows float overhead

Sunlight through the rain

breaking through the rain
sunlight’s grace moves through the trees
birds dance on the wind
