Recommended Reading: Amelia Boone: What They Told Me

I’ve been following Amelia Boone for quite some time. Even so, I don’t understand the pain inherent in eating disorders. As someone who cares, I’m glad Amelia chooses to write and to speak. My hope is that by learning, even a little, of the path she and those like her, walk every day, I can be helpful, helping bring peace, healing, and, maybe, damn it…a little joy. One can hope, no?

So, I recommend not only reading this post, but following her over at Substack. I think it’s well worth your time.

Recommend Reading: @ClaireDederer’s “What Do We Do with the Art of Monstrous Men?”

As my culture deals with abrupt waves of awareness of the ugly, monstrous behaviors of so many prominent men, Claire Dederer presents a rather thoughtful article.

What Do We Do with the Art of Monstrous Men?

I struggle with this, too. Ms. Dederer captures my sentiment quite nicely. Very insightful questions, making one think, which seems considered criminal any more.
