Today’s Haiku: November 8, 2024

Today's haiku:
tender memories
this gentle breeze travelling
past these now sparse leaves

Today’s haiku

waiting for dawn’s light

to come through the eastern firs

blending with the rain

It’s a rather drippy day here in greater Seattle, which I’m rather fond of. I find them tranquil and rejuvenating, especially with some coffee and a good book.

May your day feed your soul.

Tonight’s Haiku

autumn moves forward
a rose retaining its grip
upon summer’s dream

An evening haiku

the newest of nights
moon rises above the trees
fresh ink upon my page

This came to me as I was winding down for bed last night.

I hope each of you has a wonderful week.

Tonight’s haiku

with the moons’s motion
gracefully across the clouds
in the night’s silence

A red sky haiku

with forests ablaze
reddened skies through tall firs
the birds go silent

An evening haiku

Tonight’s haiku

at the day’s ending
sunlight fades into the sea
gentle grace of night

A haiku at dusk

Rose at dusk
with dusk descending
and gently fading sunlight
flowers get their fill

Today’s Morning Haiku

with my morning tea
the gentlest of breezes
sunlight through the clouds

I love calm mornings. Today, Seattle’s weather seems to be pivoting from rain to partially cloudy. Blue skies punctuated with white clouds. Summer’s heat abated, whether temporarily or for the rest of the year is uncertain, but I’ll take the respite.

Tonight’s haiku

after the rainfall
sunlight moves from behind clouds
summer reaches far
