A Night Of Song

Keys pressed in the night

Joyful sounds enchanting me

As a cold wind moves

Autumn’s End Nears

Still upon the tree
A feast for the passing birds
Nearing autumn’s end

I found the apples on these neglected trees to be haunting, ghost like. Sustaining the birds as the weather turns cruel.

In this night’s quiet
Siren’s call carries quite far
Winter’s night prayer

Sound carries far on the cold, late autumn night.

Tonight’s Haiku: The Movement Of Seasons

My dreams keep moving

In an arc around the sky

Autumn’s now winter

Moments of Clarity: This Evening’s Haiku

While I look skyward

Moments of clarity shine

This cold autumn sky

The Grace Of Sunlight

The grace of sunlight

Pushing through the autumn chill

Raising my spirits

These rare moments of sunlight piercing through Seattle’s autumnal gloom, granting me strength for those long, dark days coming.

Tonight’s Haiku: Breaking Focus, Seeing Autumn

Focusing forwards
Sunlight grabs my attention
And I see fall’s leaves

It’s so easy to get lost in my thoughts. A little flare of sunlight caught my gaze, broke the focus, and I was able to see autumn’s glory right next to me.

A Post Thanksgiving Haiku

Thanksgiving is past

Yet my gratitude runs strong

So much awesomeness

Leaves upon the ground

Leaves upon the ground

Echos of summer fading

Memories remain

Autumn’s Grip

Evening moves to night

Cold and silence dominate

Autumn’s grip secure
