Year’s Cold Edge

I feel fear’s cold edge

Darkness descending early

Wearing my wool clothes

Autumn’s presence now permeates the air. Leaves fall with vigor.

Lessons about Winning

I struggle to see

That “not losing” and “winning”

Are not the same thing

I’ve been working on myself lately. Adjusting my.mind, embracing the possibilities, and releasing all the fears lurking within, holding me back.

Beginnings

When we start anew

Beginnings have excitement

Amidst falling leaves

An Autumn Night At The Shore

Underneath the moon

And this glorious sunset

Autumnal beauty

Autumn’s Evolution

In morning darkness

Leaves transforming, preparing

For winter to come

Proactively Dealing With Fear

Proactive or not

Fear demands our attention

This calm, Autumn night

There are times I hate waking up

Dawn’s aggressive touch

Forcing me up from my sleep

Unwelcome, awake

Exploring Downtown Seattle

My home was once there
The outward shape is still there
And yet, it’s transformed

Walking these old streets
Visions of dirty concrete
Echoes of our past

Grime and poverty
Once marked these streets with their truth
Now airbrushed away

Walking with dear friends
Explorations of this past
Amongst my future

A positive haiku for your Tuesday

A new day begins

Full of opportunity

Don’t let your fears win

Seeking Tranquility

As I still my mind

I’m seeking tranquility

In this autumn night
